A poodle has avoided a death sentence after being labeled a “dangerous dog.” The dog bit several people after being adopted last month. Animal control officials of Martin county FL had planned on making the 10-pound dog “sleep” but decided on releasing him to Dogs and Cats Forever in Port St. Lucie, where he had lived before his adoption.Fierce looking dog.
Johanna Apicella, the director of the no-kill shelter, says the dog reacted negatively to his new home because his new owners may have handled him incorrectly.

A judge had granted a temporary hold on an order to put the dog to death. Before the judge could make an official order, animal control officials released the dog back to the shelter.

The dog’s release is not an exoneration. He is still called “dangerous dog.|
